Nancy Coleman.

Nancy Coleman has been a practicing psychotherapist for more than thirty years, earning her PhD from Columbia University. She’s studied mindfulness, body-mind integrative practices and EMDR. She’s fascinated by how new discoveries in the science of psychology weave together with ancient Eastern wisdom and embodied practice to inform our journeys to health. Her yoga practice of over twenty years led her to become a teacher of yoga, and then to certification as a teacher of Journey Dance, and in her favorite iteration of the work she loves, to creating and leading a unique and powerful blend of body-mind practices to open mind and body and spirit in the transformative context of Wide Open Writing retreats.

For Nancy, every word matters, and yet the word is not the path—nothing matters more than phosphorescence and prayer.
